Hartnel Haye Named ECC Defensive Player of the Week

BABYLON, N.Y.- Hartnel Haye was named this week's ECC Defensive Player of the week for his performance against the College of Staten Island this past weekend. Matthew Miller, Zander Torres, and Louis Mangeon all made the weekly honor roll as well.

Haye posted his fourth double-double of the season in the Firebirds conference win over CSI. He netted 15 points, 14 rebounds and had five assists, two blocks, and a steal.

Miller had a game-high 18 saves in the Firebird's loss against Barton in their season opener and Zander Torres had a game-high four goals.

Mangeon went undefeated in singles and doubles play at No.1 in the Firebirds tough 4-3 loss against Harford CC. He teamed up with Juan Estevez Hernandez to defeat their opponent 6-3 in doubles and then went on to defeat his opponent 6-3, 6-4 in singles.
