Seven Firebirds Make the Scoresheet; UDC Men’s Basketball Defeated by Bloomfield 74-55

BLOOMFIELD, NJ- The University of the District of Columbia men's basketball team was defeated by Bloomfield College, Wednesday night at the BC Gymnasium. The Firebirds fall 0-3 on the season and the Bears improve 1-2.

Seven Firebirds made it onto the score sheet with Tevin Curtis leading the Firebirds and the field with 18 points while grabbing five rebounds. He was followed by teammate Hartnel Haye who put up a season-high 16 points

The Bears took the lead in the first half outscoring the Firebirds 40-24. UDC hustled to make up the deficit in the second half but the feat proved too much as the 16 point lead Bloomfield created in the first half would carry them to a 74-55 victory.

UDC will face off against Goldey-Beacom College, in their next non-conference match-up, on Saturday, November 20. The tip-off time is at 3:00 pm.
