Reggie Sidbury Earns East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – Freshman guard Reggie Sidbury was named East Coast Conference rookie of the week on Monday, February 10th for his performance in the previous week.
Sidbury (Social Work – Landover, MD/Charles Herbert Flowers HS) scored 18 points in back-to-back games for the Firebirds at LIU Post and NYIT, respectively. He shot 46.2-percent from the field, including 54.5-percent from three-point range. He also totaled seven rebounds and four steals.
This is the second ECC Rookie of the Week honor for Sidbury, who leads the conference in three-point FG shooting percentage. He scored 11 points on 4-of-9 FG shooting last night in a Firebirds loss to Bridgeport last night.
Sidbury and the Firebirds host ECC newcomer Daemen on Friday night and Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon.
