Ellison Voted HSRN Division II National Basketball Player of the Week

UDC Men's basketball player Tim Ellison (T.V. Broadcasting- Alexandria, VA) has been voted the HSRN Division II Men's National Basketball Player of the Week, for his performances in games played from January 17th thru January 22nd, 2011. Each week during the season, HSRN's staff selects the top performances from all HBCU action and gives the fans across the country a chance to vote for the Player of the Week.

HSRN developed the fan poll to get all HBCU alumni, students and fans involved with the national process and to also give everyone a chance to consistently keep up with the individual performances around the country. 

Ellison led the Firebirds to their third straight win in the only outing last week.  UDC defeated Bloomfield College 109-106 behind his 26 points, seven rebounds, one assists and one block.  Ellison was 3 of 6 (50%) from three point range, 9 of 15 (60%) from the floor and 5 of 6 (83%) from the charity stripe.
