UDC Men Fall to Stonehill, 69-45

Easton, MA: November 21, 2009- The Stonehill College Skyhawks defeated the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds, 69-45, this afternoon at Merkert Gymnasium in Easton, Massachusetts. A. J. Rudowitz's 21 point, 7 rebound performance led the way for the Skyhawks' win.

Ivan Almeida was the only other Stonehill player to reach double figures, scoring 13 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Mike Kernan collected 11 rebounds in the game, and Randall Stallworth gave 7 assists.

With the exception of two ties in the first period, the Skyhawks led most of the way winning on 44 (26-59) percent shooting. The Firebirds shot 29 (17-59) percent for the game.

 Three Firebirds were in double figures, led by sophomore guard Nigel Munson (Washington, DC) with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Freshman guard Kenneth James (Arlington, VA) followed with 11 points, and 3 assists, and freshman forward Dyrek Jones (Brooklyn, NY) added 10 points and 7 rebounds.

UDC (0-3) looks to get into the win column on November 24, at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania.
