PITT-JOHNSTOWN HANDS UDC FINAL GAME OF SEASON LOSS 94-52

Johnstown, PA: The University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Mountain Cats handed the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds their final loss of the 2005-06 season today, 94-52. Pitt-Johnstown showed the undermanned Firebirds no mercy as they out shot and out scored their opponent 51 percent to 25 for the game.

Six of the Mountain Cats scored in double figures with Chris Gilliam taking the lead scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. Jumaane Sorrells led the Firebirds with 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Donnell Ellis had a double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Sorrells and Ellis, both seniors, closed out their college basketball careers with this game.

With this loss the Firebirds ended their season with a 1-22 record.
