UDC Athletics Announces the Hiring of Joe Stanilaus as the New Men's Lacrosse Head Coach

WASHINGTON, DC- Director of Athletics, Patricia Thomas, has announced the hiring of Joe Stanilaus as the next Men's Lacrosse Head Coach.

Stanilaus comes to UDC, having had great success at the JUCO level, serving as the Head Coach for the men's lacrosse program at Anne Arundel Community College for the past seven years. During this time, he led the program to nationally ranked status. Stanilaus is no stranger to the DMV area as he's served as the Defensive Coordinatir at DIII Catholic University in DC (2012-2013), the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach and the Assistant Dean of Studens at St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, MD (2015-2017).

"Joseph Stanilaus is an experienced educator and accomplished lacrosse coach." said AD Thomas. "His approach in building relationships with each student-athlete is a strength. Coach Stanilaus sees great potential in our current roster and his strong connections coupled with familiarity with the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area will be an asset in recruiting. Joseph Stanilaus possesses a strong lacrosse IQ , has a positive mentality and strong work ethic. 

Stanilaus recieved his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kean University in New Jersey, and recieved his Masters Dregree in Athletic Administration from Ohio University.
