Iyanna Jackson and Shanise Rose Earn USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honors

WASHINGTON, DC- Iyanna Jackson and Shanise Rose earned All-Region honors as was announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association, for the 2022 season. Jackson made the list for her performances in the 100m and the 200m, and Rose made the list for her performance in the 100m hurdles.

Jackson, a freshamn sprinter from Kingston, JA, was named the Most Outstanding Athlete of the ECC Outdoor Championships, after tallying 36 points, sweeping gold in the 100m and 200m and silver in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. At the Morgan State legacy meet, she broke the school record in the 100m with a time of 12.00s and then went on to run 25.03s in the 200m, the fastest time ran in ECC this year. 

Rose, a senior sprinter/hurdler from Kingston, JA, was named the ECC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year for her performances throughout the season. At the Morgan State Legacy meet she ran a personal best time of 14.36s in the 100m hurdles (which was just shy of the school record of 14.30s), and finished in the top-six in the ECC in the 100m (2nd – 12.20), 200m (6th – 25.70), and long jump (5th – 4.86m). She also won the 100m hurdles at the Conference Championship and helped her team to a second-place finish in the 4x100m relay.

2022 USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-Region List
