COLLEGE OF NOTRE DAME LADY GATORS DEFEAT LADY FIREBIRDS IN TENNIS

The Lady Gators of the College of Notre Dame defeated the University of the District of Columbia Lady Firebirds 5-4 in tennis competition on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in Washington, closing out the Lady Firebirds spring 2006 season. The Lady Gators won the singles competition 4-2 as Monica Cherry defeated Eniola Bakare 6-0,6-0, Roxana Beyranvand defeated Amdalat Koletowo 6-1, 6-0, Allison Najewicz defeated Tyane Washington 6-0, 6-2, and Ali Phillips defeated Robin Williams 6-1, 6-2.
LADY FIREBIRDS TENNIS TEAM DEFEATS HOOD COLLEGE

The University of the District of Columbia Men�s and Women�s Tennis Teams defeated the Hood College Blazers on Thursday in singles and doubles competition in Frederick, Maryland. The UDC Lady Firebirds Team won their contest by the score of 5-4, while the Firebirds Mens Team posted an 8-1 win.

Bowie, MD: The UDC Lady Firebirds Tennis Team took home their first win of the 2006 spring season today when they defeated the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State University 6-3 in Bowie, Maryland. After losing their first three matches of the season, the Lady Firebirds were ready to celebrate and look forward to the future.

Bowie, MD: The UDC Lady Firebirds Tennis Team took home their first win of the 2006 spring season today when they defeated the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State University 6-3 in Bowie, Maryland. After losing their first three matches of the season, the Lady Firebirds were ready to celebrate and look forward to the future.
LADY FIREBIRDS LOSE MATCH to GOUCHER COLLEGE

The Lady Firebirds hosted the Lady Gophers of Goucher College on Saturday, March 25, on a fairly windy, cool day. Nerissa Peterson-Paul defeated Heather Keslin 6-2, 6-0, and Edith Chidi defeated Tanya Cooley 6-1,6-3 in singles matches. Doubles partners Peterson-Paul and Chidi later defeated Heather Keslin and Christina Grimm 8-6. UDC lost the match on a score of 2-5. The Lady Firebirds' next match will be against Trinity College on Tuesday, March 28th at at home, 3 p.m.
LADY FIREBIRDS START NEW TENNIS SEASON

Washington, DC: The University of the District of Columbia Lady Firebirds Tennis Team started their spring 2006 season on March 9, under new Head Coach Chris DeFelice. The team is comprised of two returnees and five new comers.
