Firebirds had two hat tricks with a season high six goals in game against St. Thomas Aquinas.

Washington DC- The University of the District of Columbia women's lacrosse team scored a season high of six goals on senior day, Saturday evening at the UDC Sports Complex Field.

Kianna Franklin and Madison Boykin led the Firebirds with hat tricks scoring three goals apiece.

A rough first quarter saw the Spartans outscoring the Firebirds 14-2. Both goals by UDC came from Franklin with assists from Senior Amy Rock. The Firebirds came back in the second half and scored four back to back to goals in the last 15 minutes of the game, which is the most goals they have scored in a half since the start of their season. UDC also tied the Spartans 4-4 in goals for the second quarter and led the field 14-11 in draw controls. 

The Firebirds fell to the Spartans 18-6.

UDC celebrated seniors Amy, who was the first firebird from the women's lacrosse program to win Rookie of the week and Kelsey Greene.

The lady firebirds will head to N.Y on April 6 to face off against ECC foe Queens.
