Factory and Clements Scored their First Goals of the Season in loss to Ohio Valley University.

Washington, DC- The University of the District of Columbia Women's Lacrosse Team had a tremendous start, but fell to Ohio Valley University on Wednesday afternoon, at the UDC Sports Complex Field.

The Firebirds came out blazing with Junior Kianna Franklin scoring the very first goal of the game, assisted by Senior Amy Rock, less than one minute into the first half. The next goal came a few minutes later from Ohio Valley's Kayla Stewart followed by a goal from Sophomore Don'nasia Factory, assisted by Freshman Madison Boykin, putting the Firebirds in the lead 2-1.

The Fighting Scot's went on to score several goals but Junior Rebekah Clements would break their streak, scoring her first goal of the season. Clements also led the field in draw controls.

Having only nine players on the field the entire game, the Firebirds would eventually fall to the Fighting Scot's 3-19, putting them 0-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

The Firebirds will travel to New York on Saturday March 23 to face off against ECC foe Bridgeport.
