Washington, D.C. – The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team put forth a determined effort but fell to Post University, 24-5, on Tuesday afternoon at UDC Turf Field.
Post set the tone early, netting seven goals in the first quarter while holding UDC scoreless until the closing seconds of the period when Dylan Donaldson found the back of the net to make it 7-1. The Firebirds showed resilience in the second quarter, adding two more goals from Julian Schemm and Jordan Schemm, but Post continued its offensive dominance, heading into halftime with a 13-3 lead.
The Eagles maintained control throughout the second half, outscoring UDC 4-0 in the third quarter. Despite a fourth-quarter push that included another goal from Donaldson and a late effort by Jordan Schemm, UDC was unable to close the gap.
