Firebirds Fall to No. 2 Daemen in ECC Matchup, 77-61

Amherst, NY – The University of the District of Columbia men's basketball team put up a fight but ultimately fell to nationally ranked No. 2 Daemen, 77-61, in an East Coast Conference (ECC) road matchup at Lumsden Gymnasium.

Despite a strong second-half surge, the Firebirds were unable to overcome an early deficit as Daemen took control in the first half, outscoring UDC 43-19. The Firebirds showed resilience, winning the second half 42-34, but the comeback fell short against the Wildcats' balanced scoring attack. UDC had four players scoring 8+ points, led by Greg Williams' 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Daemen was led by Benjamin Bill, who recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Justin Glover added 15 points, hitting five three-pointers.
