UDC Women’s Cross Country Competes at Maryland Eastern Shore Invitational

PRINCESS ANNE, MD – The University of the District of Columbia women's cross country team competed Saturday in the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Cross Country Invitational.

 

The Firebirds placed 8th of eight teams with a total team score of 220, a total time of 2:17:45, and an average time of 27:33.

 

Junior Cierra Roberts once again paced UDC with a time of 23:17.7 to place 30th overall out of 53 competitors. This time was over three minutes faster than her last time out in the rain at Delaware St., and she was seven seconds away from tying her season best.

 

Next in for UDC was senior Dabrin Snorton, who came in at 26:53.9 to place 43rd overall. Snorton improved 22 seconds from her last time out at Delaware St.

 

Sophomore Aisha Dozier was next in for the Firebirds at 28:29 to place 48th overall. She bested her time from two weeks ago by a little over two minutes.

 

Also finishing for UDC were junior Shannell Hibbert (29:31.9), sophomore Shaneika Bowra (29:32.5), junior Shakeithia Nicholson (32:35.5), senior Kenlyn Duncan (35:40.8), junior Temera Duncan (36:24.2), freshman Bosson-Sora Ahouti (38:31.2) and freshman Patricia McLean (38:49.8).

 

UDC has the next week off as the Firebirds prepare for their next meet on Sat., Oct. 6 at Smyrna, DE for the Delaware St. Pre Conference Run.
