Firebirds' 4x400M Relay Wins Penn Relays Heat; Places 48th of 69 Teams Overall

PHILADELPHIA – The University of the District of Columbia women's 4x400M Relay team won its heat and placed 48th of 69 teams with a season-best time of 3:55.76 on Day 1 of the world-renowned Penn Relays Thursday, April 27th. Deasia Greer ran leadoff, followed by Shannell Hibbert, Temera Duncan, and anchor Niasia Harding.

The Firebirds also had a team compete in the 4x100M Relay. Stacy-Ann Rowe, Harding, Brittany Okon and Hibbert teamed up to run a season-best time of 47.17s to place 30th of 75 teams.

Okon also competed in the Long Jump event and was 29th of 43 competitors with a leap of 5.33M.

 

Day 2

Hibbert, Harding, Rowe and Duncan teamed up to run the 4x200M Relay in 1:39.60 and place 2nd in their heat and 17th out of 60 teams.
