UDC Women's Track Team Compete at the Fastrack National Invite

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's women's indoor track and field team competed at the Fastrack National Invite, showcasing a number of seasonal and personal best performances.

Ayesha Jarrett ran a season-best time of 58.52s to place ninth out of a field of 100 other runners. Her time was the fastest Division II time of the day. She went on to run another season-best time of 26.46s in the 200m. Teammate Fanta Sanogo also had another day of seasonal bests running 1:00.20 in the 400 and 26.71s in the 200m. Shanise Rose ran a season-best time of 26.03s in the 200m to place 19th out of a field of 142 other runners. She also ran a season-best time of 9.20s in the 60m hurdle trials slightly missing out on the finals. Kamille Dixon wrapped up the meet for the Firebirds running a personal best time of 2:26.38. The Firebirds are off next weekend but will head back to N.Y. on the 26th to compete in the ECC Championships.
