Freshman Saida Burns-Moore Earns 3rd East Coast Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Honor

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY –Each week she has competed, freshman standout Saida Burns-Moore has earned the East Coast Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, as Tuesday afternoon, January 19^th, the ECC announced her 3^rd weekly honor of the season.

The Bronx, NY native pulled double-duty at Saturday's Spartan Invitational hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas College in Staten Island at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex – the future site of this year's ECC Championship meet. Going back and forth from pit to runway, Burns-Moore managed to win the High Jump with a 1.60M clearance, and place 2^nd in the Triple Jump, bounding out to 11.24M.

The Firebirds' strong team performance led to a 6^th place finish among the 20 teams competing in the event, and the top Division II team in the women's scoring. UDC will take a week off before returning to action January 30^th to compete at the Terrapin Invitational at the P.G. Sports Complex in Landover, MD.
