Creary, Jones and Grant Earn USTFCCCA Pre-Season National Rankings in Indoor Track Events

NEW ORLEANS – Shauna-Kay Creary, Kaydian Jones and Simone Grant have all earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Pre-Season national rankings across multiple events it was announced this afternoon.

Creary (Accounting – Kingston, Jamaica/St. Andrew HS) returns for her senior season after becoming the first Firebird athlete to compete in the NCAA Divison II Indoor Championship in the Long Jump event. She has earned pre-season national rankings in three events: Long Jump (9th), High Jump (19th) and Triple Jump (30th).

Jones (Journalism – Kingston, Jamaica/St. Andrew HS), a senior looking to cap a spectacular three-year career at UDC, earned preseason rankings of No. 27 in the 200m and No. 29 in the Long Jump.

Grant (Health Education – Bronx, NY/Pelham Prep Academy), a sophomore who earned All-Region honors in the Triple Jump event as a freshman last year, earned a pre-season national  ranking of No. 24 in the Triple Jump.

The UDC Women's Indoor Track & Field team will compete again on Saturday, January 18th at the Terrapin Invitational.
