Season: 1st
2013-2014: As a newcomer to the Firebirds, Sweeney ran the 200m, 300m, 400m, and 500m throughout the course of the season...was part of the 4x200m team that finished first at the ECC championships with a time of 1:26.29...came in fourth in both the 400m and 200m at the ECC championships...ran a season-best 43.40 in the 300m at the Terrapin Invitational (1/18).
High School: Charmaine attended Largo High School in Landover, Maryland. She took part in track and field and cross-country in high school and won the 2A State Division Championships and was an honor student.
Personal: Daughter of Bryon & Andrea Sweeney...she has one sister, Sydney... she majors in History...hobbies include reading and writing...her favorite athletes are Alyson Felix and Carmelita Jeter...favorite movie is Django and We’re the Millers...favorite music artist is BoyzIIMen...her favorite food is pizza…and her favorite t.v show is The Amazing World of Gumball…favorite thing about D.C is the friendly and welcoming environment…she chose UDC because she was offered a scholarship by Coach McKenzie... her greatest athletic experience was winning the State Championship senior year of high school...her dream as a college athlete is to travel to different places, enjoy being a college athlete and most importantly win...her greatest athletic influence is her mother…and most impressive person she's ever met is Coach McKenzie.
