Washington, DC: March 1, 2010-University of the District of Columbia Head Track & Field Coach Jasmine Rogers has announced the signing of Areial Clark to a National Letter of Intent, to become a member of University's Track and Field Team. Clark is a senior student-athlete at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia.

All-American junior Saleena Green (Kingston, Jamaica), a member of the University of the District of Columbia Women's Track & Field Team,was ranked 4th in the country in the women's long jump by the USTFCCCA for the 1st week of the 2010 indoor track & field season. Green won the long jump at the George Mason University Patriot Games with a jump of 5.76m to give her the 4th place ranking. She dropped to 12th nationally in the 5th week of rankings, but maintained her 4th place rank in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region.

Kent, Ohio: February 20, 2010-Demia Franklin, a junior from Baltimore, MD finished 3rd in the 300 meter dash at the Kent State University Tune-up, February 20, to lead the University of the District of Columbia Women's Indoor Track & Field team in the events. Franklin came in with the time of 43.48.

Fairfax, VA: January 30, 2010--- All-American junior Saleena Green (Kingston, Jamaica) and junior Dicoda Waugh (Kingston, Jamaica) were the high place finishers for the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds Women's Indoor Track Team at the George Mason University Patriot Games on Saturday, at the Patriot Center. Green jumped the distance of 5.76 meters to finish in first place in the women long jump ahead of 20 competitors.

Newark, DE: January 8, 2010-The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds Women's Indoor Track Team returned to the oval today at the University of Delaware Invitational in Newark, Delaware to begin their 2010 season. Juniors Erica Nixon (Bronx, NY) and Dicoda Waugh (Kingston, Jamaica) led the Team with outstanding first place wins in their respective events.
