UDC Defeats Bentley 5-2
Waltham, Mass.- The University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team finished out their last non-conference game of the season with a win over Bentley University. The Firebirds are now 9-0 on the season with two more conference games to go before the ECC Championships.
UDC secured the doubles points winning at both No.1 and No.2. Joanna Skrzypczynska and Izabella Bilecova had a shutout victory defeating their opponents 6-0 at No.2 and Simoné Pärn and Sofia Bellucco went 6-1 with a victory at No.1.
After a default loss at No. 6 Estefania Castrillon won her match at No.5, going 6-1, 6-1. Bilecova, Skrzypczynska and Belluco went back to back with shut out victories over their opponents 6-0,6-0 to secure the Firebirds Victory.
Parn suffered her second loss of the season at No.1 to bring the final score to 5-2.
UDC (9-0, 3-0) will continue conference play as they host Molloy College on Friday October 18that 12:00PM.
