UDC Women’s Tennis Sweeps ECC Weekly honors
Babylon, N.Y- Simoné Pärn and Izabella Bilecova earned ECC Player of the Week and Rookie of the week honors for their performance this past week.
Pärn and Bilecova went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play defeating their opponents from USciences and Shepherd University.
Pärn teamed up with Marija Milic on October 2nd to defeat USciences 6-1 at No.1 doubles. She defeated Karla Miletic of USCiences 6-2, 6-4 at No.1 singles. Two days later she had a perfect day shutting out Valentina Preciado-Bello 6-0, 6-0 at No.1 singles and again teaming up with Milic to defeat their opponent 6-0. Parn is now undefeated on the season with a 7-0 record for both singles and doubles.
Bilecova teamed up with Joanna Skrzypczynska to defeat USciences 6-2 at No. 2 doubles and defeated Julia James 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. She went on to team up with Sofia Bellucco to defeat Shepherd Opponents 6-1 at No. 2 doubles and moved up to No. 4 singles where she defeated Morgan Burner 6-0, 6-1. Bilecova is now 7-0 in singles and 6-1 in doubles.
UDC (7-0, 3-0 ECC) will face off against Stonehill College on Friday October 11th at 11:00am.
