Firebirds Dominate Bobcats in Third Sraight Victory of the Season
Washington, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team dominated Frostburg State University in a 7-0 shutout victory, Sunday afternoon at the East Potomac Courts.
The Firebirds are off to a great start going 3-0 on the season so far. All three doubles team defeated their opponents 6-0 to sweep the competition.
Simoné Pärn, Marija Milic, Joanna Skrzypczynska and Rookie of the week player Izabella Bilecova defeated their opponents in a shutout victory 6-0,6-0. Teammates Sofia Bellucco and Estefania Castrillon also defeated their opponenets 6-1, 6-0.
This win puts the Firebirds 3-0 in singles, doubles and overall on the season. UDC will host ECC opponents St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday September 26that 10:00am.
