Firebirds defeat the Redhawks to secure second victory of the season

Rochester, N.Y- The university of the District of Columbia's women's Tennis team dominated Roberts Wesleyan College to secure their second victory of the season.

The Firebirds No.1 doubles team of Marija Milic and Simoné Pärn defeated the Redhawks team of Bijisha Shrestha and Salome Darsalia 6-1. Both ladies would also go on to win their singles match at No.1 and 2. 

Freshman Izabella Bilecova showed out with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Sophie Farnholz. She also teamed up with Joanna Skrzypczynska to win their doubles match 6-1 at No.2. Estefania Castrillon also had an impressive 6-0, 6-0 victory against Charity Hinmam and teamed up with Sofia Bellucco to defeat Sophie Farnholz and Charity Hinman, 6-0.

With today's win, the Firebirds are now 2-0 overall and in conference play. Next up for the Firebirds is the ITA East Regional Championships which will take place September 13-16.
