CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – The University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team was announced as the recipient of the East Coast Conference Academic Team of Excellence Award for the 2014-15 academic year.

SKILLMAN, NJ – Both the men’s and women’s University of the District of Columbia tennis teams earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors, and eight individual Firebird student-athletes from both teams earned ITA Scholar-Athlete awards as announced by the ITA late Thursday, July 16th.

SKILLMAN, NJ – University of the District of Columbia senior student-athletes Simon Andersson and Maxime Duijst were both honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association with the Division II East Region Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Awards.

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team was defeated by the No. 2 ranked team in the East Region, Concordia College (NY) on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at UDC Tennis Courts. Before the match, the Firebirds honored their two seniors Alicia Gallard and Maxime Duijst.

Shorthanded Firebirds Lose Close Match at Holy Family, 5-4

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Despite having to forfeit matches at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles, the University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team was still just one match away from victory, but the Firebirds fell short in a 5-4 loss to East region foe Holy Family Monday afternoon.

Junior Peerada Looareesuwan earned an impressive singles win over the No. 15 ranked individual player in the East Region.

WILMINGTON, DE – The University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team was defeated by the No. 5 ranked team in the East Region, Goldey-Beacom College, 8-1 in non-conference play on Thursday afternoon at DelCastle Tennis Courts.

FLUSHING, NY – The University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team forfeited two matches due to an insufficient lineup and lost the first three results to come in as the No. 3 seeded Firebirds were shut out, 5-0 by tournament host and No. 2 seeded Queens.

FLUSHING, NY – The University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team has earned a No. 3 seed in the 2014 East Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament, and the Firebirds will take on the host, No. 2 seed Queens College in the semifinals on Friday, October 24th at 2 p.m.

Dimante has now earned two ECC Rookie of the Week honors.
