UDC Women’s Tennis Earns East Coast Conference Academic Team of Excellence Award

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – The University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team was announced as the recipient of the East Coast Conference Academic Team of Excellence Award for the 2014-15 academic year.
UDC Men’s & Women’s Tennis Earn ITA All-Academic Team Honors; Eight Individual Firebirds Earn Scholar-Athlete Awards

SKILLMAN, NJ – Both the men’s and women’s University of the District of Columbia tennis teams earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors, and eight individual Firebird student-athletes from both teams earned ITA Scholar-Athlete awards as announced by the ITA late Thursday, July 16th.
Andersson, Duijst Earn ITA/Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Awards

Before the match, the Firebirds honored their two seniors Alicia Gallard and Maxime Duijst.

FLUSHING, NY – The University of the District of Columbia women’s tennis team forfeited two matches due to an insufficient lineup and lost the first three results to come in as the No. 3 seeded Firebirds were shut out, 5-0 by tournament host and No. 2 seeded Queens.
