Philadelphia Lady Rams Sweep Lady Firebirds 9-0 on Senior Day

Washington, DC: April 26, 2008-- Senior Day for the University Lady Firebirds was not a happy occasion, as they were swept by the Lady Rams of Philadelphia University, 9-0, in tennis action on the UDC Tennis Courts today. On a happy note though was the celebration of the end of the collegiate playing career of senior Eniola Bakare ( Staten Island, NY) as she prepares to receive her bachelor's degree in Commencement ceremonies on May 10th. Coach Alexander presented her wih a gift and thanke her for her contributions to the tennis program. Bakare is a two sport student-athlete who also played basketball at UDC.

Fairfax, Virginia:April 23, 2008--The George Mason University Lady Patriots over-powered the UDC Lady Firebirds in tennis action this afternoon, winning the match 7-0 in Fairfax, Virginia.
UDC Sweeps Maryland Eastern Shore in Tennis

Washington, DC: April 8, 2008--The University of Maryland Eastern Shore “Hawks” Tennis Teams found themselvesout matched on Tuesday, April 8, when they played the UDC “Firebirds” on the UDC Tennis Courts, as they lost both matches to the home team. The Lady Firebirds defeated the Lady Hawks 5-3, and the Firebirds defeated the Hawks 6-1 on an overcast, chilly day.
Shepherd Lady Rams Defeat UDC Lady Firebirds in Tennis 8-1

Shepherdstown, WVA: March 12, 2008-- Playing shorthanded with only five on the team, the UDC Lady Firebirds were defeated by the Shepherd University Lady Rams, 8-1, today in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
