Washington, DC- The University of the District of Columbia Women's Lacrosse Team fell to preseason favorites LIU Post on Saturday afternoon at the UDC Sports Complex.
Freshman Madison Boykin scored the Firebirds first and only goal against the Pioneers eight minutes into the first half. The Firebirds also had six ground balls and won five draw controls.
LIU Post's Paige Sherlock and Alyssa Mallery led the Pioneers with four goals each to defeat the Firebirds 20-1.
This loss puts UDC 0-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Firebirds will face Ohio Valley on Wednesday March 20 at 2:00pm at the UDC sports complex.
