UDC Women's basketball Falls to Daemen on the Road

AMHERST, N.Y.- the University of the District of Columbia's women's basketball team fell to Daemen University 68-82, splitting the season series for the second straight year.

Laci Johnson came off the bench to lead the Firebirds with 16 points, draining five three-pointers. Destiny Ryles posted 15 points, Latavia Jackson had 10 and Shanell Haskins scored nine. 

The Wildcats shot at an impressive 50% from the floor while holding the Firebirds to just 39.3%. They also led in rebounds (35-31) and points in the paint (30-18).

Up next, UDC (16-9, 8-5 ECC) will take on Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2:00 pm.
