West Chester Defeats UDC Women, 77-49

Millersville, PA: November 21, 2009- The West Chester University Golden Rams Women's Basketball Team defeated the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds, 77-49, in the final round of the Millersville Classic at Pucillo Gymnasium in Millersville, Pennsylvania this afternoon. Renata Neal paced the Golden Rams with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

Mary Kat Serratelli added 13 points and 3 rebounds for West Chester, followed by Allison Hostetter with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Junior center Lillian McGill (Sumter, SC) led the UDC scoring with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Senior guard Nicole Cooper (Fort Washington, MD) added 11 points and 2 assists to the Firebird tally.

 UDC trailed the entire game, shooting 30 (19-64) percent from the field to West Chester's44 (27-62) percent.

The Firebirds return to the court on November 24, at home against Indianan University of Pennsylvania, at 6 p.m.
