Firebirds Fall to Stonehill Skyhawks

Easton Mass.- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team suffered their first loss of the season to Stonehill College on Friday October 11^th. 

After falling to the Skyhawks at No.3 and No.2, the No.1 doubles team of Kostiantyn Kalchev and Louis Mangeon defeated Trent Newman and Russell White 6-4 to give the Firebirds their first and what turned out to be their only win of the match.

UDC eventually conceded the singles matches at No.1-6. Enzo Alavaski had a tough fight eventually falling to Russell White 7-6(7-5), 2-6, 7-6(7-3) at No.3. 

The Firebirds are now 3-1 and look to close their fall season tomorrow at 5:00pm against Bentley College.
