UDC Men’s Tennis Falls at No. 34 NYIT, 9-0
OLD WESTBURY, NY – The University of the District of Columbia men's tennis team was defeated, 9-0 by New York Institute of Technology in both teams' East Coast Conference season opener Wednesday afternoon.
UDC, ranked No. 6 in the East Region, fell to 2-7 overall and 0-1 in league play with the loss. NYIT, ranked No. 34 in the nation and No. 2 in the East Region, improved to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the ECC.
The Bears swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to complete the shutout victory.
Next up, UDC will host ECC foe Daemen College on Friday, April 8th.
