Bio

Daniel "Danny" Wadeson joined the University of the District of Columbia Men's soccer coaching staff in July 2012 as a Volunteer Coach before becoming an Assistant Coach in February 2013. Wadeson has thirty years of coaching experience at all levels.  Danny currently coaches on the ODP Region One staff and at Mclean Soccer Club.

A former youth player at the Bolton Wanderers School of Excellence Wadeson was captain of the University of Bolton Wadeson before playing semi- professionally at Daisy Hill Football Club. 

Wadeson came back to serve as Head Coach at the University of Bolton from 1999-2000. While at UB, he earned a BA in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Marketing & Leisure Management in 1999 and a BA in Education in 2001.  A passionate educator Wadeson holds his U.S.S.F. National ‘A ‘license, U.S.S.F. Youth ‘A’ license and NSCAA Premier Diploma

 A Firebird for seven years, he was the assistant as the group made the NCAA tournament in 2017 before completing his Masters in Teaching at the University of the District of Columbia in 2018.

Danny completed a full Ironman for charity in his hometown in 2016 and regularly enjoys cycling, playing guitar and golf. He resides in Alexandria with his wife Meredith and their Labrador Troy.
