SLIPPERY ROCK, PA — The University of the District of Columbia men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against Slippery Rock University, Wednesday afternoon at the James Egli Field. Both teams fought hard, but neither could break the deadlock in a tense, back-and-forth affair.

The Rock took an early lead in the 12th minute when Colton Swanson scored the opening goal, unassisted, giving the home team a 1-0 advantage. UDC responded in the second half with a goal from Brandon Johnson (his first as a Firebird) at the 57th minute, also unassisted, leveling the score at 1-1.
