Firebirds Rack up on Weekly Honors!
West Babylon, N.Y.- Vitor Gomes and Thomas Cecil earned Offensive player of the week and Rookie of the week for their performances in last week's games.
Gomes led the Firebirds to a 4-0 victory over Washington Adventist, where he scored three goals. He then followed up with an assist in a crucial conference victory over Daemen College.
Cecil led the Firebirds with two goals in a shutout victory over Daemen College.
Malik Thom and Javier Abadia made the weekly honor roll for their performances as well. Thom tallied two goals and an assist on the week and Abadia had a total of ten saves for two shut out victories for the Firebirds.
UDC is still in the running for the ECC Championships and will face off against Mercy in their regular season finale this Saturday November 9th at 1:00PM.
