Senior Alan Singleton scored his 100th career goal in last game of the season

Rockville Centre, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team fell to Molloy College on Saturday afternoon, at the RVC Sports Complex. 

Senior Attackman Alan Singleton led the Firebirds with five goals to finish off his career here at UDC as the top scorer in program history with 101 goals.

The Firebirds were in contention the entire first half as the Lions only led by two points. The first two goals of the game came from Singleton and Sophomore Eric Boco to bring the score 3-2 going into the second quarter. Freshman Jeffrey Vo along with Syrrus Nash and Edmund Taylor would each add a goal of their own to bring the score to 7-5 going into half time.

The Lions would start to pull away from the Firebirds in the third quarter outscoring them 6-2. This lead would then extend as the Lions scored six goals in the last quarter to bring the final score to 19-10.

The Firebirds ended their season with a 4-9 overall record and 0-6 conference record. Singleton is currently 4th in the conference with 39 goals and 58 points for the season. Senior Tyler Mace is 4th in the conference with 25 assists.
