Firebirds hustled in second half but came up short in game against the NYIT Bears.

Westbury, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team fell to the NYIT Bears, Saturday Afternoon at the President's Stadium field.

Senior Syrrus Nash led the Firebirds with a season high of four goals and two assists. Jacob Saunders, Eric Boco and Alan Singleton contributed two goals each and Tyler Mace assisted three goals.

It was a slow start for the Firebirds as the first quarter saw the Bears outscoring them 7-2.
