Senior Syrrus Nash led the Firebirds in tough loss against Roberts Wesleyan.

Washington DC- The University of the District of Columbia men's Lacrosse team celebrated their seniors, in tough loss against Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at the UDC Sports Complex Field.

Senior Syrrus Nash led the Firebirds with two goals followed by seniors Alan Singleton and Tyler Mace who each contributed a goal.

It was a tough first half for the Firebirds as the Redhawks led the way 6-1 going into half time. Senior Goalkeeper Nikolas Lund-Murray had to sit out an entire minute for a penalty, and a tough hit to the side saw Singleton sitting out the entire third quarter of the game. The last quarter saw Allison Turner sitting out three minutes, with the Firebirds playing man down. The Redhawks would keep the lead all the way through the second half to bring the final score to 12-4.

Senior Career Highlights:

Mace currently holds the all-time record for number of points scored in a game and also holds the all-time record for assists.

Singleton was named to the ECC second team all-conference last year and holds the all-time record for the most points scored as well as the all-time record for most goals scored.

Lund-Murray has had 440 saves so far in his career here at UDC.

Nash has scored 69 points with 44 goals and 25 assists so far in his career here at UDC.

The Firebirds will head to N.Y. next Saturday April 20, to face off against NYIT.
