Lakewood N.J- The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team fell to Georgian Court in overtime, Tuesday afternoon at the GCU Complex.
It was a close game from the beginning with the Lions leading the Firebirds 3-2 going into the second quarter. This trend would plague the firebirds the next two quarters with the Lions outscoring them by just one point each quarter.
UDC was able to take control in the last quarter outscoring Georgian Court 4-1 to even out the score and send both teams into overtime. Tanner Lee from Georgian Court would seal the deal for the Lions scoring the winning goal and defeating our Firebirds 10-9.
Tyler Mace led UDC in points with one goal and three assists. Jacob Saunders and Alan Singleton led the Firebirds in goals scoring two apiece.
The Firebirds are back in action on Saturday April 6 at the UDC Field to face off against LIU Post.
