Chase Fraser, Teilen Celentano Earn Third Team All-East Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Honors

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – Junior attack Chase Fraser and sophomore midfielder Teilen Celentano were both named Third Team All-East Coast Conference as voted on by the league's head coaches.

Fraser (Aldergrove, British Columbia), who had earned All-ECC Honorable Mention each of the last two prior seasons, ranked in the top-20 of the conference in several offensive categories. He led the conference in shots (149), ranked 5th in shots on goal (63), 9th in face-off percentage (55.0), 9th in ground balls (47), 12th in goals scored (29) and 19th in points (37).

The third-year captain led UDC to the upstart program's highest win total in three years (4), scoring multiple goals in nine of 12 games played, including three or more in five contests. His season-high of five goals came in a 14-8 road victory at Roberts Wesleyan – the Firebirds' first ever victory over their league foe.

Celentano (Ottawa, Ontario) has become one of the league's premier face-off specialists over the past two years. This season, he was 5th in the league in face-offs won (142), and 8th in face-off winning percentage at 55.0 percent. His face-off winning percentage also ranked 26th in NCAA Division II.

Celentano was also 12th in the ECC with 44 ground balls, and he registered 12 points this season on 11 goals and one assist.
