UDC Men’s Basketball Announces 2019-20 Schedule
Washington, DC- Head Coach Michael Riley announced the 2019-20 Men's Basketball schedule and welcomed four new addition to the team.
UDC welcomes Jahmir Marable Williams, Cheyenne Nettleton, Quran Dublin and Karlos Roberts to the team. They have seven student-athletes returning including last season's Third Team All-ECC honoree Zachary Olukanni.
"I think the student athletes we recruited will blend in nicely with the returning players," said Coach Riley. "I expect the returning players to take leadership roles and give direction on how we compete on the court and take academics seriously here at UDC. The four new student athletes are guards and should help to provide strong shooting and defense against the tough guards in conference play."
The Firebirds will play in a total of 28 games, 13 of which they will host and 16 of which will be conference games. They will open their season on the second weekend of November where they face off against Stonehill on the 9th and USciences on the 10th.
Later on, in November the Firebirds will head to Maryland to face off against HBCU Rival Bowie State on the 27th. They begin ECC play on December 7th in a home game against Molloy and will play preseason favorites Daemen College on January 19th. They finish out the regular season with eight back to back conference games in February.
