SPARKILL, NY – Playing against a St. Thomas Aquinas squad needing a win to capture an East Coast Conference regular season championship, the University of the District of Columbia men’s basketball team was defeated, 99-78 in its 2014-15 season finale Saturday afternoon at Aquinas Hall.

Senior Michael Terry had a game-high 27 points in his final UDC home game.
UDC Men’s Basketball Drops Heartbreaker to Mercy, 79-77 on Senior Night

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia men’s basketball team suffered a heart-breaking, 79-77 defeat vs. East Coast Conference foe Mercy in their home season finale Thursday night at the UDC Sports Complex.

Firebirds Falter Late; Lose to Bridgeport, 83-72

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia men’s basketball team played right with the 2nd place team in the East Coast Conference, Bridgeport, until midway through the 2nd half when the Purple Knights used a 14-2 run to put the game away and went on to win, 83-72 on a snowy Saturday afternoon in the nation’s capital.

Junior transfer guard Erin Senegal led the Firebirds with 19 points.

OAKDALE, NY – The University of the District of Columbia men’s basketball team was defeated by host Dowling, 89-68 on Wednesday night in East Coast Conference action from Dowling Gymnasium.

WASHINGTON, DC – The Firebirds shot 46-percent from the field and 52-percent from three-point range, but it was not enough to overcome poor free-throw shooting and a large rebounding disparity, as they fell, 86-80 to East Coast Conference foe Molloy on Saturday afternoon at the UDC Sports Complex.

Junior forward Clenso Brannon III had 10 points and nine rebounds.

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia men’s basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with an 89-79 East Coast Conference victory over Queens College Wednesday night at the UDC Sports Complex.

ROCHESTER, NY – A red-hot start by the Redhawks led to a 27-6 Roberts Wesleyan advantage a little over 10 minutes into the game, and the Firebirds could never work their way back as they suffered a 78-60 loss to Roberts Wesleyan in East Coast Conference play Sunday afternoon at the Voller Athletic Center.
