Non-University of the District of Columbia Personnel and Community Usage – Community residents are able to register for the Firebirds Tennis Courts Access Program.

Rules and Regulations
• Court time can be reserved online up to one week in advance.
• Advanced reservations (24 hrs.) are strongly encouraged.
• We ask that all cancellations be made at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled time.
• Valid ID is required at check-in (Community Access members may report directly to the courts).
• Community Access registrants may bring up to three (3) guests per reservation.
• Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult when using University athletics facilities.
• Private Lessons are prohibited.
• Food or Drinks are not allowed on the tennis courts.
• Skating & skateboarding are prohibited.
• Absolutely no pets permitted on the courts or leashed in the spectator area.
The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) tennis courts, located on the Van Ness campus, will be open to users who have paid for access (registrants) on a seasonal basis (September through February and March through August). The tennis courts will be available for reservations seven days a week from 7am. to 8pm, except during the following events/activities when the tennis courts may be unavailable. The University’s reservation system (CourtReserve) will reflect the dates when the tennis courts can be reserved. Please note that tennis court availability may be subject to change in the event of emergencies.
• UDC’s intercollegiate men’s and women’s tennis team practices/competitions through May NCAA Championship
• UDC’S intercollegiate sporting events
• Individual student-athlete workouts/practices
• Summer camps, clinics or lessons
• UDC’s Use Agreements
• Staff illness/unforeseen events that necessitate re-assignments, which may cause reservation cancelations, particularly on weekends
• Inclement Weather
• Major holidays
• Major D.C. metropolitan area news breaking events related to safety or significant traffic issues
Question: How far in advance can reservations be made by paid users? Is there an online reservation system?
• For tennis court reservations for Saturday or Sunday: Registrants can reserve the tennis courts for weekends with a minimum 12-hour advance reservation. Registrants must use CourtReserve to reserve the tennis courts.
