UDC to Honor Basketball Legend Lyndon “Black” DeBellotte with Halftime Celebration on February 12th

Washington, D.C. – The University of the District of Columbia is proud to announce a special Halftime Celebration honoring basketball legend Lyndon "Black" DeBellotte on Monday, February 12th at 6:00 PM at the E.B. Henderson Sports Complex (4200 Connecticut Ave, NW, Washington, D.C. 20008).

A standout player during his time at UDC, DeBellotte left an indelible mark on the Firebirds' basketball program, and this event serves as a tribute to his contributions both on and off the court. The 6'3 guard was a pre-season All-American going into his senior year (after breaking his hand year before).  In '86 he averaged 17.7 points a game and amassed 57 assists.  Fans, alumni, and supporters are invited to join in commemorating his achievements and impact on the UDC community.
